Meet Dr Vikram Shetty

MBBS., DNB, MDS, BDS, FAM

Dr. Vikram Shetty is one of the most renowned names in craniofacial surgery in India, and rightly so. A formal medical as well as dental training, and super-specialization in Cranio-Maxillo-Facial surgery puts him at the top of the list in terms of academic qualifications. His expertise in his chosen field makes him one of the elite group of surgeons in India managing extremely complex craniofacial defects.

He currently holds the position of Director at the Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Cranial Surgery, one among the busiest in India, and performs on an average, about 1000 surgeries of varying complexities every year. He is attached to the K. S. Hegde Medical College, where he directs the Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship programme. He is also faculty at the A. B. Shetty Memorial School of Dental Sciences. The academic positions allow him to guide several postgraduate trainees in the speciality.
